Big Bend National Park - Terlingua, TX - 8.31.24
Want to experience a wild place, and escape the crowds that envelop some of the more popular US National Parks? Look no further than Big Bend National Park in Texas! Tristan & Olivia opted for a day that fully encompassed all that makes them "them," complete with off-roading, vows at the mouth of Santa Elena Canyon, a reception with their closest family, and portraits under the sunset & stars.
Olivia got ready at an Airbnb while Tristan spent time getting ready with his parents a few miles away. Once Olivia was dressed and ready, they opted for a first look just outside their Airbnb, allowing them to drive to their ceremony location together. After their ceremony at the mouth of Santa Elena Canyon, the couple and their guests opted to head back into Terlingua to eat lunch at Chili Pepper Cafe. They said their farewells after lunch, and the couple ventured back into the park.
We spent the remainder of the day exploring Big Bend, from the Chisos Mountains down into the desert at the border with Mexico. Their day didn't end until we took final portraits under the clearest night sky I have EVER seen! Their day was around 14 hours total - a true testament to the fact that full-day elopements are 100% the way to go.
