Day 1: Fairy Lake & Hyalite Reservoir


A flight from Kansas City to Bozeman bled straight into adventure time! We drove up to Fairy Lake to location scout for my coming elopement, and quickly decided that with the potential for inclement weather in the coming days, this would NOT be a good option. Fairy Lake is an absolutely beautiful location, but the road to get to it is best accessed via a 4x4 (or at least a high-clearance vehicle!) even in the best of conditions, and I would never place my clients in a position that might be potentially dangerous!


We pivoted and drove down the mountain and over to Hyalite Canyon, which made for a much better option in the case of poor weather. After some exploring time, we headed to our Airbnb and tucked in for the night.

Day 2: Ousel Falls, Yellowstone National Park, and Grand Teton National Park


We woke up bright and early, and started our drive south from Bozeman. We made our first stop at Ousel Falls in Big Sky to scout for my upcoming elopement, then continued our drive through Yellowstone National Park, across Grand Teton National Park, and into the town of Jackson, Wyoming for the night.

Day 3: Mountains, and Adventure Sessions, and Elopements, oh my!


It was a BUSY day! I woke up before the sun to meet up with Kristie & Jeremy for their sunrise adventure session at Mormon Row & the Snake River, then headed back to pick up Aspen and Christina for the rest of the day. Midday brought Rebecca & Rudy's elopement at the Cathedral Group turnout in Grand Teton National Park. The final activity of the day was a short & sweet sunset adventure session back at Mormon Row with Jennifer & Joe.


A full day of work, and an incredibly enjoyable one at that!

Day 4: Sunset in Bozeman


The weather turned quickly, but not before the Tetons said farewell with a rainbow through the mist. We drove back up to Bozeman, I dropped Aspen & Christina off at our Airbnb, and then I met Karlye & Matt for the first portion of their two-day elopement! We started with a short session overlooking Bozeman, before heading back to their Airbnb for some hot tub fun before resting up for the day to come!

Day 5: Ousel Falls & Hyalite Canyon Elopement


Today's main focus was Karlye & Matt's elopement at Ousel Falls! After a sunrise first look at their Airbnb, a quick coffee & breakfast stop, and their ceremony at Ousel Falls in Big Sky, we headed up into the mountains to Hyalite Reservoir. Portraits over with, we made a last stop for ice cream before saying farewell! We ended the day with the drive from Bozeman to Billings to prep for a fun last day in Montana.

Day 6: Billings & Greycliff Mill


Our morning was spent touring Origen Inc. just outside of Billings, before we headed back toward Bozeman. We broke up our drive with a stop at Greycliff Mill, which we decided was a must for every future return to southern Montana! It was a pleasant, relaxing end to a wonderful trip to Montana & Wyoming.
